I like having a plan for the day which is helpful to get what needs to be done, done. With lots of free time to fit in the other fun stuff. Also, some regular (perhaps monthly) time away from the home, without the kids, maybe to have a cuppa with friends or a meal with the spouse. Something to look forward to. Obviously, we all need to have a decent sleep at least once a day, combined with healthy food and moderate exercise, to have enough energy and freshness to cope with all the extra demands our lovely little ones put onto us. It also helps to have a support person or three to call on it times of extra need or stress, so maintaining good friendships and happy extended family connections is very helpful.
Hope this helps!

I was excited to see your name on the lineup for HEART this year! As for burnout avoidance - sleep is the most important. You can survive many days without food, but not sleep. Next to that is water! Once these are going then it is easier to think clearly. I try to run my offers out or to be involved in something past my hubby. I am not good at gauging time and commitment, but hubby is
This has helped immensely. As a Christian I need some time reading God’s Word (transforming my mind) and praying (building my relationship). In addition, I agree with Christina - a plan for the day so you know where you are heading (and whether it is realistic) and something to look forward to - a programme you enjoy, craft time, a special book, coffee with friends or spouse.
Great topic Rachel!! We all need to regularly check ourselves in this regard. A Warrant of Fitness every term would be good to implement!
Thanks ladies for your comments. I like your idea Christina about having a plan. Thanks Fiona for your insightful comments too. But I have to choose one person for the giveaway and the winner is……….drum roll please……Fiona for the phrase - A Warrant of Fitness every term - I LOVE that concept.
I will email you your link to the prize. Thanks ladies for taking the time to enter this contest.
