Our Creation Journals (notebooks)

funschoolHere are some pictures of our Creation Journals.

Whenever one of my kids create something -like with Lego or K’nex or Blocks or whether they build an obstacle course or a sand castle - I take a photo and paste it into a word document and add lines then print it out and the kids then write their notes about the creation. My kids LOVE it. They LOVE looking back over their creation notebooks - it is a record of the things that they have made over the years.

It also helps them to write instructions on how they made it or to describe the creation.

    Thanks so much for your comment Cathy - my kids just LOVE to create and they of course don’t last very long so we thought we would take photos and then display them in a nice book. The boys are really proud to show off their creation Journals.

    Love this idea - my DS8 is always experimenting and creating rather than writing but this will encourage him. And keep a record of all those great-crazy-imaginative things he does.

    This is soooooooo neat ! I am going to show my ds Noah. I think all my boys would love to do this with what they create. I can’t wait to start this. I think this would be a great way to break me and the boys into notebooking too. [0;
